Abstract: With the rapid development of China's catering industry, HDL catering enterprises as the leading brand in the industry, its frontline staff recruitment problems become particularly prominent. Under the background of the continuous expansion of the industry scale and the continuous improvement of the chain rate, the demand for professional talents of HDL catering enterprises is growing, especially the demand for store manager talents who are experienced and can quickly adapt to the business operation mode. However, the high turnover rate and employee turnover rate of the catering industry, coupled with the lack of competitiveness of compensation and benefits compared with other industries, as well as the repetitive and hard work of the work content, make it difficult for employees to achieve sustainable growth and career development in the work, thus aggravating the problem of talent shortage. Through literature review and current situation, this paper analyzes the problems existing in the process of recruitment of front line employees in HDL catering enterprises, and further analyzes the influence of internal management, market environment factors of employees on the recruitment effect. In order to improve the efficiency and quality of recruitment, this study puts forward strategies to optimize the recruitment process, expand diversified recruitment channels, innovate selection methods and improve the professional quality of recruitment teams. Research on the Development, Measurement, and Role of Universities in New Productive Forces

Abstract: As the global economy undergoes rapid transformation, traditional productivity models based on material inputs, such as labor and capital, are increasingly replaced by new qualitative productivity, driven by knowledge, technology, and innovation. This study explores the development and measurement of new qualitative productivity, focusing on the role of universities. Key components of new qualitative productivity, including innovation, technological progress, human capital, and information resources, are examined. The Entropy Weight Method (EWM) is introduced as a tool for measuring new qualitative productivity, dynamically adjusting the weights of multiple indicators based on their variability. While current applications of EWM provide objective static measurements, the need for dynamic frameworks to capture temporal changes and the long-term impacts of innovation is emphasized. The study also evaluates the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) model as a macro-level measurement tool. Furthermore, the role of universities in advancing new qualitative productivity is highlighted through their contributions to scientific research, technology transfer, and talent development. The paper concludes by proposing the adoption of advanced dynamic measurement frameworks to better assess the sustained effects of innovation on productivity growth. Read More

Comparison of the Competitiveness of Chinese and Korean Cultural Industries Based on the Perspective of New Institutional Economics

Abstract: Based on the perspective of new institutional economics, this paper compares the competitiveness of the cultural industries in China and South Korea, and analyses the similarities and differences between the two countries in terms of the institutional environment, market structure and business cases. By sorting out the theoretical framework of new institutional economics, it explores the influence of factors such as property rights system, transaction costs and cultural industry efficiency on the development of cultural industry. China's cultural industry has advantages in terms of policy support and market scale, but the problems of insufficient intellectual property protection and imperfect market mechanism still restrict its international competitiveness. In contrast, South Korea's cultural industry is known for its mature market mechanism, strong content creation ability and effective intellectual property protection, which has successfully promoted the global spread of the "Korean Wave" culture. Through case studies of typical enterprises such as Tencent and YG Entertainment, the differences in competitiveness between the two countries' cultural enterprises in the international market are revealed. Finally, puts forward suggestions to optimise the institutional environment, strengthen international cooperation and promote cultural innovation, so as to promote the sustainable development of the cultural industries in China and South Korea. The research in this paper provides theoretical basis and empirical support for an in-depth understanding of the development mode and international competitiveness of Chinese and Korean cultural industries. On the Predicament and Countermeasures of Agricultural Product Brand Construction in Cooperatives

Abstract: Brand building of agricultural products can not only bring direct economic benefits to cooperatives, but also improve the internal environment of cooperatives through large-scale and standardized production and operation, as well as improve the external industry and market environment through regional brand building of agricultural products, while cooperatives can improve their own social service system in brand building. And promote the development of local tourism and service industry through the exploration and publicity of the cultural attributes of the brand. However, the brand construction of cooperative agricultural products is faced with many difficulties, such as weak brand awareness of members, lack of professional personnel, difficult quality and safety supervision under decentralized production and management mode and poor competitiveness of individual brands, outdated production and marketing mode, and imperfect financial services matching brand construction. This paper analyzes the difficulties encountered by cooperatives in brand building and puts forward construction measures, and holds that relevant departments should strengthen the cultivation of brand awareness of cooperatives; Cooperatives should increase the reserve and training of professional personnel, individual cooperatives should rely on the scale and resource advantages brought by regional brand building or association to carry out their own brand building, and at the same time use modern marketing means to expand their own sales channels; The government should regulate the operation of financial institutions and increase the popularity of agricultural insurance. Government Subsidies and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Performance: Evidence from China

Abstract: The challenges of climate change and pollution are driving more companies to focus on environmental, social and governance (ESG). It is possible to evaluate the implications of current subsidy policies and provide suggestions for novel approaches by comprehending the connection between government subsidies and ESG. In this paper, we constructed a panel database of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010-2021, including government subsidies received by companies, ESG scores and other basic information and data. In addition, we explored the correlation between government subsidies and ESG and examined the moderating effects of financial constraints, green innovation and political connections. We find a U-shaped relationship between government subsidies and ESG for all our research samples. Besides, financing constraints, green innovation and political connections all negatively moderate the U-shaped relationship between government subsidies and ESG. Moreover, compared to firms with green behaviors, firms without green behaviors show more significant dampening and promoting effects between government subsidies and ESG. Read More

The Impact of Leisure Time Allocation on Human Capital Accumulation in High School Students: A Study on Health and Academic Performance

Abstract: Human capital is a critical resource for economic development, and its accumulation depends not only on academic performance but also on physical and mental health. Therefore, understanding how leisure time allocation influences human capital accumulation is essential. This study, based on a survey of 51 high school students, examines the effects of online and offline leisure activities on their health and academic performance. The results indicate that excessive online leisure time is associated with lower physical activity levels, higher BMI, and increased risk of myopia, all of which have significant negative impacts. Although the sample size is relatively small and there is little variation in academic performance, some students may have overestimated their academic achievements in the questionnaire, making it difficult to clearly reflect the effect of leisure time on academic outcomes. Overall, a balanced allocation of leisure time, integrating both online and offline activities, contributes to better physical and mental health, thus promoting comprehensive human capital development. The study suggests that schools encourage students to balance their leisure time, make reasonable use of the internet, and engage in physical activities to improve both health and academic outcomes. A Brief Discussion on the Application of Financial Software in Higher Education Institutions

Abstract: With the arrival of a new management era and the digital age in higher education, the survival environment, operation, and management models of universities have undergone significant changes. Traditional financial software no longer meets the management needs of modern institutions. By selecting appropriate financial software, universities can accelerate the integration of internal information and the utilization of resources. Among these, cost control is a key financial aspect that universities are currently most concerned about. As the scale of operations expands and the total funding increases, the volume of reimbursement transactions has seen exponential growth. The diversification of financing methods has broadened the scope of economic activities in higher education, directly impacting the financial departments by expanding the scope and content of financial work and increasing the daily accounting tasks. Consequently, the workload has significantly increased. The complexity of financial work in universities has risen, leading to prominent issues such as low business approval efficiency, long wait times for employees, and high pressure on financial audits. The development of financial software has also driven an increasing demand for information technology in financial departments. The traditional reimbursement methods can no longer adapt to the current development status and management needs of universities, making the informatization of financial management an inevitable trend.
